Cindy Donald Foundation — Dreams of Recovery

I am writing this cover letter as a means of introducing myself and the application that I submitted for the Total Gym Power Tower.  Although I'm fairly new to this disability I have become quite familiar with the financial burdens associated with spinal cord injuries.

I believe in keeping and maintaining a healthy body if not for a cure, then as a means of preventing secondary complications.  Unfortunately, as you already know, insurance does not cover the aggressive therapy needed to keep a healthy body.

With that said, after months of struggling to pay $100/hr services, my peers and I privately hired a reputable trainer for a fraction of the cost.  However the only downfall is that we have limited equipment.  I mention this not only to illustrate the necessity of the Total Gym Power Tower, but to show that if rewarded this grant, it will be benefiting the lives of five other individuals.
